OKESS, St. Louis win 2023 Super Zonals; check full table for boys and girls divisions

Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School, affectionately known as ‘OKESS’, and arguably one of the best sports schools in Ghana, has won again the Super Zonal (SU-ZO) in the boys division in the just-ended 2023 Inter-Schools and Colleges Athletics competition of the Ashanti Region at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, May 26, 2023. The competition began three weeks ago when the various schools competed on a zonal basis called inter-co to earn qualification into the Super Zonal. The Super Zonal is the final stage of the athletic competition, and this is where the finest schools and athletes from the various zones compete. It started on Thursday, May 25, 2023, and ended on Friday, May 26, 2023. The OKESS boys emerged as winners with an impressive 122 points. In the girls division, St. Louis Senior High School won with 196 points. This is OKESS’ third trophy in the competition after winning it in 1991 and 1992. Breaking News!! Car burnt to ashes in crash at Berekum

 Two persons are reported dead in an accident this afternoon at Berekum Thursdays market  in the Bono Region. A speeding private car heading towards Berekum Thursdays market  is said to have caught fire soon after hitting a Pragya  carrying a passengers  headed in the opposite direction. Eyewitness told KizaroNews Agency’ Kwame Percentage that the  tyre of the private car bursted and the driver lose control and hit the Pragya which involves the two persons lost their lives instantly.  When it crashed with the approaching Pragya, the driver and his friends attempted to escape from the accident scene but the people were able to caught them since they suspected it was 'sakawa boys' so they set the vehicle ablaze and handed the driver to Berekum central police.
