CLIMATE CHANGE IS A GLOBAL CHALLENGE THAT KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES, MCE LOUD.



The Municipal Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano North Municipality has appeal to stake holders in the Municipality to address the issue of climate change and find its sustainable solutions.


Mrs Martina Appiah - Nyantakyi made this appeal when she was addressing stake holders at a one day sensitization workshop of actors on climate change issues in the Ahafo Ano North Municipality at the Municipal assembly hall.


Mrs Appiah -Nyantakyi in her welcome address express her profound gratitude to all actors and individuals who have graciously chosen to be part of the event.


Been  part of this event demonstrate commitment and concerns for our environment and the well bein of the future generations, she said.


Mrs Appiah -Nyantakyi lamented that climate change is a global challenge that knows no boundaries, it affects us all regardless of our background, professions, or geographic location.


The consequences of climate change from rising temperature to extreme weather events, threaten the delicate balance of our ecosystem endangering biodiversity and human livelihoods.


She therefore see it to be imperative we come together as actors in this fight to address climate change and find sustainable solutions.


She stated emphatically that, the workshop designed to sensitized and empower actors, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to take effective action. She promise that the assembly will delve into the intricacies of climate change, explore it's causes, impacts and potential solutions through engaging discussions, experts presentations and interactive sessions in order to deepen the understanding of this complex issue and inspire collective action.


The sensitization workshop was facilitated by experts who are the forefront of combating climate change.


Dr, Jackson Adiyiah Nyantakyi an environmental chemist who led the team took the stake holders through the meaning, causes, effects of climate change.

SABRONUM METHODIST SHTS HEADMASTER APPEALS FOR GOVERNMENT SUPPORT TO ADDRESS INFRASTRUCTURE DEFICIT

The headmaster of Sabronum Methodist Senior High Technical School, Rev. Peter Nimoh, has made a heartfelt appeal to the government to address the critical infrastructure needs of the institution. Speaking during the Student Representative Council (SRC) week celebration, Rev. Nimoh highlighted several pressing issues that hamper the effective functioning of the school. Rev. Nimoh emphasized the urgent need for the construction of a teacher's bungalow to provide on-campus accommodation for teachers. "Our teachers are living outside the school premises, making it difficult for proper supervision and control of the students," he noted. He also called for the fencing of the school to enhance security, as well as the establishment of a technical department workshop and a home economics laboratory.   The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South East District Assembly has assured the good people in the district to bring development to their doorsteps.  He made this statement when he was delivering his sessional address on the first ordinary meeting of the second assembly of the fourth session of the assembly on 30th of April 2024 at the conference room of the District Assembly. He highlighted the various areas that, through the efforts of the management, have brought a lot of developments.  Touching on education: The DCE said education is the bedrock of every district, which is the reason concerted efforts are needed to improve this sector.
