In a momentous ceremony on Monday, October 16, 2023, *Dr. Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem 1*, the Tepa Manhene, has officially enstooled *Torgbui Gbedzra* as the new *Ewe Chief* of the Tepa traditional area. This significant event took place at the esteemed *Darfuo palace* in Tepa, marked by a solemn oath of allegiance.

Before taking the oath, *Dr. Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem 1*, the Tepa Manhene, offered valuable advice to the newly enstooled chief, emphasizing the virtues of truthfulness and loyalty to the Tepa traditional council.

*Torgbui Gbedzra*, holding a ceremonial sword, pledged his unwavering commitment to serving his people selflessly and called for unity among the Ewe community in the region.

ELECTION OF PRESIDING MEMBER FOR AHAFO ANO NORTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

The Ahafo Ano North Municipal Assembly exercised its Constitutional right of selecting a Presiding Member (PM) for the newly elected Assembly Members on the 21st of February, 2024 at the Municipal Assembly Hall. As enshrined in the Local Governance Act, 2016 (ACT 936), Section 17(4). Though the Presiding Member should have been elected on the day of the inauguration, it was required by law that the Secretary of the house, announce the voting to be rescheduled since none of the aspirants had 2/3 of the total valid votes cast.
