MR SETH APRAKU MENSAH PICKS NOMINATION FORMS TO CONTEST ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS



 In a bid to champion the cause of accelerated development in the Tetteh-Amakrom electoral area of the Ahafo Ano North Constituency, Mr. Seth Apraku Mensah, popularly known as Agya Atta and serving as the School Management Committee (SMC) Chairman for Mmeredane M/A JHS, has officially picked up the nomination forms to contest in the upcoming assembly elections.


Addressing the media after securing the nomination forms, Mr. Seth Apraku Mensah highlighted his extensive track record in contributing to the progress of the electoral area. He emphasized his role as the committee chairman for Tetteh-Amakrom, underlining his commitment to fostering positive change.


Mr. Mensah expressed concerns about the current state of the electoral area, citing issues such as insufficient educational infrastructure, electricity shortages, and healthcare gaps. He asserted that, if elected, he would prioritize and spearhead developmental projects to address these challenges.


"I believe my track record speaks for itself, and I am dedicated to bringing about the much-needed development in our electoral area," stated Mr. Seth Apraku Mensah. He urged the community members to rally behind him, emphasizing that their support is crucial for the success of his candidacy.


With the assembly elections scheduled for December 19, Mr. Mensah exuded confidence that his focus on tangible development initiatives would resonate with the electorate, securing their trust and votes. ELECTION OF PRESIDING MEMBER FOR AHAFO ANO NORTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

The Ahafo Ano North Municipal Assembly exercised its Constitutional right of selecting a Presiding Member (PM) for the newly elected Assembly Members on the 21st of February, 2024 at the Municipal Assembly Hall. As enshrined in the Local Governance Act, 2016 (ACT 936), Section 17(4).  Though the Presiding Member should have been elected on the day of the inauguration, it was required by law that the Secretary of the house, announce the voting to be rescheduled since none of the aspirants had 2/3 of the total valid votes cast. Contestants for the position of the Presiding Member were Hon Yamson Ernest and Hon. Joseph Debrah,but hon Yamson Ernest step down from contesting. TEPA HOSTS PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION FOR 105 APPRENTICE DRESSMAKERS

Last Saturday, the Tepa Zone 1 of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) conducted a professional examination for 105 apprentices in Tepa. The apprentices, who have undergone three years of training, sat for the examination to certify and formalize their operations as tailors and dressmakers in the country. Ibrahim Aziz Bright, Chairman of Tepa Zone 1 of GNTDA, emphasized the importance of taking the examination seriously, as it will enable the apprentices to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their profession. He advised the apprentices to listen and obey their masters to avoid difficulties during the examination.
