SALAAMA's INITIATIVE JOINS TEPA MANHENE FOR CLEAN-UP DRIVE IN TEPA

The streets of Tepa, under the leadership of Dr. Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem I, witnessed a remarkable display of unity and environmental consciousness as residents came together for a comprehensive clean-up exercise. Organized in collaboration with SALAAMA'S INITIATIVE, the event aimed not only to tidy up the town but also to instill a culture of cleanliness and communal responsibility among its citizens.

The initiative, spearheaded by the President of the Tepa Traditional Council and SALAAMA's INITIATIVE, marked a significant milestone as it coincided with the celebration of 25 years of leadership by Tepaman Hene. It was a testament to the community's commitment to honoring their heritage while actively contributing to the betterment of their surroundings.

From the early hours of 6:30 am until 11:00 am, a diverse array of stakeholders converged upon the town, including elders of the Tepa Traditional Council, assembly members, unit committee representatives, traders, Pragia operators association members, and residents from all walks of life. Together, they engaged in a variety of tasks ranging from distilling choked gutters to weeding and sweeping the streets and marketplaces.

The event not only focused on immediate environmental cleanliness but also aimed to promote long-term sustainability and community well-being. By fostering a sense of ownership and pride in their surroundings, the initiative sought to revive the spirit of communal labor and encourage ongoing efforts to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment.

Central to SALAAMA's INITIATIVE mission is the empowerment of communities and the promotion of positive change. Through various outreach programs, the organization strives to uplift lives, inspire unity, and create opportunities for growth and development. Their multifaceted approach encompasses environmental health, youth empowerment, and health awareness, underscoring their commitment to holistic community development.

In addition to organizing clean-up exercises, SALAAMA's INITIATIVE is dedicated to extending support to rural communities and the underprivileged, fostering patriotism and togetherness among youth, providing education on business and career development, and promoting health awareness on critical issues such as drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, and breast cancer.

As the sun rose over Tepa, illuminating the efforts of its dedicated residents, the message was clear: by joining hands and working together, we can build a brighter future for generations to come. The success of the clean-up drive serves as a shining example of what can be achieved when communities unite in pursuit of a common goal. With Salaama's Initiative leading the way, the journey towards positive change in Tepa and beyond continues, one step at a time.
