ASUNAFO NORTH MUNICIPAL INAUGURATES NEW IMMIGRATION AND NARCOTICS OFFICE

 




In a significant development for the Asunafo North Municipal, a new immigration and narcotics office has been officially inaugurated in Ahafo Mim, within the Ahafo Region. The commissioning ceremony, attended by key officials and community leaders, marked a milestone in bolstering security and administrative services in the area.


Mr. Yakubu Mohammed, the Asunafo North Municipal coordinator, underscored the importance of these offices, originally designated for the Mim Urban Council but repurposed for immigration and narcotics services due to security priorities. He highlighted the collaborative effort that made this project possible, involving both local authorities and traditional institutions, with funding sourced from stool lands.


The utilization of funds from stool lands was commended by Mrs. Maame Ama Adumadze, the National Administrator of stool lands, who praised the Asunafo North Municipal Assembly for investing in crucial infrastructure projects. She urged other assemblies across the country to follow this example, emphasizing the potential of such resources in driving community development initiatives.


Hon. Evans Opoku Bobbie, Member of Parliament for Asunafo North and Deputy Minister for Youths and Sports, expressed confidence in the future trajectory of development in the region. He assured continued commitment to spearheading additional projects that will enhance the well-being of residents in Asunafo North.


Nana Kwame Hene II, the Mim Akyeamehene, emphasized the significance of tax payments to stool lands, highlighting how these contributions directly translate into impactful developmental projects benefitting the entire community.


The establishment of the new immigration and narcotics office reflects a proactive approach to enhancing security and public services within the Asunafo North Municipal. It also underscores the value of collaboration between government entities and traditional institutions in leveraging local resources for meaningful development initiatives. RIGHT TO INFORMATION OFFICER FOR AHAFO REGIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL ENCOURAGES ACCESS TO INFORMATION

In a recent interview on the AMANSAN NTIE MORNING SHOW Hosted by Abrantepa kizaro on Rejoice fm 101.7 at Ahafo Mim, Mr. Theophilus Nti-Antwi, the Right to Information Officer in the Ahafo region, provided valuable insights on how Ghanaians can acquire information through the Right to Information Act. Mr. Nti-Antwi emphasized that to request and receive information in the Ahafo region, individuals only need to possess their Ghana card.
