POLICE OFFICER DIES IN TIPPER TRUCK ACCIDENT ON TECH-AYIGYA ROAD



Tragedy struck on the Tech-Ayigya road as a dedicated police officer lost his life in the line of duty. The officer, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family, was involved in a fatal accident while pursuing an armed robber.


According to sources close to the incident, the officer was in pursuit of a suspect when his vehicle collided with a tipper truck on the Tech-Ayigya road. The impact of the collision resulted in the officer sustaining critical injuries, tragically leading to his demise.


Eyewitnesses recount a harrowing scene as emergency responders rushed to the site to provide assistance. The officer was quickly transported to the nearest medical facility, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.


The loss of this dedicated officer has sent shockwaves through the community and law enforcement circles. He is remembered as a courageous and committed member of the police force, willing to risk his life to protect and serve the public.

ELECTION OF PRESIDING MEMBER FOR AHAFO ANO NORTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

The Ahafo Ano North Municipal Assembly exercised its Constitutional right of selecting a Presiding Member (PM) for the newly elected Assembly Members on the 21st of February, 2024 at the Municipal Assembly Hall. As enshrined in the Local Governance Act, 2016 (ACT 936), Section 17(4).  Though the Presiding Member should have been elected on the day of the inauguration, it was required by law that the Secretary of the house, announce the voting to be rescheduled since none of the aspirants had 2/3 of the total valid votes cast. TEPA HOSTS PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION FOR 105 APPRENTICE DRESSMAKERS

Last Saturday, the Tepa Zone 1 of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) conducted a professional examination for 105 apprentices in Tepa. The apprentices, who have undergone three years of training, sat for the examination to certify and formalize their operations as tailors and dressmakers in the country. Ibrahim Aziz Bright, Chairman of Tepa Zone 1 of GNTDA, emphasized the importance of taking the examination seriously, as it will enable the apprentices to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their profession. He advised the apprentices to listen and obey their masters to avoid difficulties during the examination.
