My Cocoa Life" Nationwide Rally Phase One Held at Tepa

The highly anticipated "My Cocoa Life" nationwide rally, sponsored by Yayra Glover Limited, successfully launched its first phase at Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North Municipal of the Ashanti Region. This significant event marked a pivotal moment for the region's cocoa industry, drawing together stakeholders, farmers, and community leaders for a day of celebration and education.

Mr. Samuel Opoku, the lead organizer of "My Cocoa Life," emphasized the rally's aim to promote sustainable cocoa farming practices and enhance the livelihoods of cocoa farmers. The event featured a series of informative sessions, workshops, and interactive activities designed to protect cocoa farming, particularly in light of the destructive impact of illegal mining activities (galamsey) on cocoa farms.

Mr. Opoku highlighted that "My Cocoa Life" will have several phases, allowing organizers to better understand and address the problems faced by cocoa farmers across the region.

Speaking at the rally, Miss Deloris Enyo Awalime, the Commercial and Operations Manager of Yayra Glover Limited, underscored their initiatives to support local farmers and foster a more resilient organic cocoa supply chain. "Everything we do is organic because we believe in the value of organic farming," she stated.

As the program progresses, Yayra Glover Limited remains committed to its mission of promoting sustainable development and improving the quality of life for cocoa farmers.

Nana Kofi Nti, the Chief Farmer of Tepa, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to learn and network. He noted the positive impact of the rally on their understanding of sustainable practices and the potential for increased yields and income.
