Residents and Local Leaders of Ankaase Laud Fosu Frimpong's Initiative for Reshapes Akrofoso-Ankaase Road



In a significant development for the Ahafo Ano North Municipal in the Ashanti region, Mr. Kwaku Fosu Frimpong, the aspiring parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Ano North constituency, has undertaken the reshaping of the crucial Akrofoso-Ankaase road. The road has long been a source of distress for the residents, and Frimpong's initiative is welcomed as a positive step towards improving local infrastructure.

Assistant Constituency Secretary for the New patriotic party, Mr. Elvis Biney, highlighted the daily struggles faced by Ankaase residents due to the poor road conditions. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the community, emphasizing the positive impact Mr. Kwaku Fosu Frimpong's efforts will have on not only Ankaase but various communities within the constituency.

Nana Kwame Owusu, the Odikro of Ankaase, endorsed Mr. Fosu Frimpong for his proactive approach to addressing community needs. Despite not holding any government position, Frimpong's commitment to development projects, especially the road reshaping, has garnered support from local leaders. Nana Kwame Owusu urged delegates to prioritize developmental contributions over monetary considerations in their voting decisions.

The residents themselves expressed their excitement and appreciation for the ongoing road project, vowing to support Mr. Kwaku Fosu Frimpong during the upcoming elections. The consensus among the community is that Frimpong's dedication to tangible improvements sets him apart as the right candidate to lead the NPP in the constituency.

ELECTION OF PRESIDING MEMBER FOR AHAFO ANO NORTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

The Ahafo Ano North Municipal Assembly exercised its Constitutional right of selecting a Presiding Member (PM) for the newly elected Assembly Members on the 21st of February, 2024 at the Municipal Assembly Hall. As enshrined in the Local Governance Act, 2016 (ACT 936), Section 17(4).  Though the Presiding Member should have been elected on the day of the inauguration, it was required by law that the Secretary of the house, announce the voting to be rescheduled since none of the aspirants had 2/3 of the total valid votes cast. TEPA HOSTS PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION FOR 105 APPRENTICE DRESSMAKERS

Last Saturday, the Tepa Zone 1 of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA) conducted a professional examination for 105 apprentices in Tepa. The apprentices, who have undergone three years of training, sat for the examination to certify and formalize their operations as tailors and dressmakers in the country. Ibrahim Aziz Bright, Chairman of Tepa Zone 1 of GNTDA, emphasized the importance of taking the examination seriously, as it will enable the apprentices to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their profession. He advised the apprentices to listen and obey their masters to avoid difficulties during the examination.
