The Ahafo Ano North Municipal Assembly exercised its Constitutional right of selecting a Presiding Member (PM) for the newly elected Assembly Members on the 21st of February, 2024 at the Municipal Assembly Hall. As enshrined in the Local Governance Act, 2016 (ACT 936), Section 17(4).  Though the Presiding Member should have been elected on the day of the inauguration, it was required by law that the Secretary of the house, announce the voting to be rescheduled since none of the aspirants had 2/3 of the total valid votes cast.   The Katabo  Electoral Area in the Ahafo Ano north municipality newly elected Assembly member, Mr. Habib Mohammed popularly known as Alhaji Kiti has organised a clean up exercise on New Year Day. The exercise is to keep the environment clean and also advocate for cleanliness among residents to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
